As we come to this week’s Shabbat, we here in Israel have the nation’s official day for observing Yom Kippur 3 days before the Biblical day to observe this High Sabbath. As I pray through what the Father is saying concerning how I am to serve YHVH this week, I was led to study the chronological events of Yeshua on this day. It is found in Matthew 17:1-9, Mark 9:2-10 and Luke 9:28-36. Here Yeshua is ordained as the Cohen Gadol after the order of Melek Tzadek. Then I referred back to Yom Teruah, The Day Of The Blasting Shofars, and I outlined the events of these 10 days.
What stood out to me was how Yeshua was clearly dealing with the errors of the Pharisees and I encourage you to read Mathew 15. Should I fast on this Shabbat to be in agreement when the nation of Israel will come to a halt, or should I just hold the correct day of Yom Kippur?
My question is answered! I realize that Yeshua was clearly leading us back to following YHVH and the Torah even if you have to swim against the flow. I love Israel and the calling this nation has and stand as a speaker of truth! I seek to lead by example to follow the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Yeshua confronts sages and Pharisees Matthew 15:1-20 and Mark 7:1-23. Followers are commanded not to follow the takanot of the Pharisees (Matt 15:6). The encyclopedia defines takanot as rules enacted by the Pharisees that change or negate Biblical law.
The Torah repeatedly instructs us that no one is ever allowed to either ‘add to the commandments or diminish from’ them, Deut 4:2, 12:32. The takanot of the Pharisees (or any religion) is a violation of the Torah – and sin is the violation of the Torah 1 John 3:4.
Let us stand and pray for the restoration of all things including the obedience of following Yeshua who showed us how to follow Torah.
I have been praying what needs to be delivered this Shabbat in our email I felt led to share the 15 minute message I shared at Passion for Truth on the Heaven Speaks Tour. This word is a day of atonement message.
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom
