Psalm 22 My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?
Why are You so far from helping Me,
And from the words of My groaning?
2 O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear;
And in the night season and am not silent.
David is very special in that he is the primary Tanakh portrayal of Yeshua Messiah. He was born in Bethlehem, was a shepherd and became the anointed King of Israel. In the Messianic Writings, Yeshua is referred to as the “seed of David according to the flesh” (Romans 1:3), and as the “root of the offspring of David”. (Revelation 22:16)
