Replacement Theology in the End Times

For those who’ve read the articles posted on this website, replacement theology should pose no mystery. In short, it’s the heresy that claims the Christian Church (Roman Catholicism and her Protestant stepdaughters) replaced Israel. This replacement of Israel is only with regard to the blessings. Curses, according to this devilish doctrine, belong to the Jews.  What is the history of replacement theology and is it with us today?

We, who are being called out, have ‘crossed over.’   In fact, Hebrew means to ‘cross over.’  Hebrews have abandoned the traditions of men to walk in the light of Scripture.  The Truth is: there is One YHVH, One Faith, One Messiah, One Holy Scripture, and One people of God.

Scripture refers to these people of God as the Israel of God. 

God’s ‘Israel’ split under King Jeroboam.  The twelve tribes split into two kingdoms: The Northern Kingdom, and the Southern Kingdom.  The Southern Kingdom is the House of Judah.  It is generally understood to comprise the tribes of Judah and Benjamin.  The Northern Kingdom, or House of Israel, comprised the remaining ten tribes.  These general divisions describe where the majority of each tribe congregated, although some mixing within the tribes is more than likely.

The Northern Kingdom (House of Israel) was scattered and sifted according to prophesy.  They were ‘lost’ into the Nations (Gentiles).  They became assimilated into the pagan nations to further the Father’s plan.

One day soon these two houses will again become one in God’s hand.  This will happen during what Scripture calls the Greater Exodus.

SO WHAT ABOUT GENTILES?

According to Scripture:

Gentiles who come to faith in the Jewish Messiah get grafted into the Israel of God.  This is true for those who share a genealogical connection to the northern tribes of Israel, and those from the nations who choose to be adopted into the Covenant of YHVH.

With this return, or grafting in, they are no longer citizens of Gentile nations apart from the Covenant with YHVH. They become “fellow citizens in the commonwealth of Israel and heirs according to the Promise.”

SOME CHURCH HISTORY

During the Fourth Century Constantine and the Roman Catholic Church codified doctrines that defied Scripture. This was achieved at the Council of Nicaea and subsequent Councils. After changing YHVH’s Sabbath to Sun (Sol Invictus) Day, these lawbreakers became “clouds without rain.” (see my article More Hebrew Idioms and Metaphors)

These lawbreakers went on to co-opt centuries-old Pagan Festivals. Instead of returning to YHVH, believers were ‘returning’ to the practices of the Gentiles!

WHAT CHANGED UNDER THESE COUNCILS?

God’s word ordains that Passover be kept forever!  But, these clouds without rain brazenly disregarded God’s warning in Exodus 23:13 not to even mention another god!  They replaced Passover for the name of the Pagan deity Ishtar, which translates into English as Easter!

Historian Alexander Hislop writes:

“Then look at Easter. What means the term Easter itself? It is not a Christian name. It bears its Chaldean origin on its very forehead. Easter is nothing else than Astarte, one of the titles of Beltis, the QUEEN OF HEAVEN, whose name, as pronounced by the people of Nineveh, was evidently identical with that now in common use in this country. That name, as found by Layard on the Assyrian monuments, is Ishtar (The Two Babylons, p. 103).

For those of you old enough to remember how quickly schools in America descended into academic and moral decay once prayer was removed in the 1960’s, I’m sure you will not be surprised at the rapid corruption of the so-called Church following the Council of Nicaea.

Here is a brief history of atrocities perpetrated by Christians and sanctioned by the Church, in the first 400 years following the damnable resolutions which voided God’s command to not add to or take away from his Torah. (see also Judaizers)

325 AD  Council of Nicaea. The Church changes God’s calendar, separating Easter from Passover:

388 AD Incited by a bishop a Christian mob plunders then sets fire to a synagogue in Callinicum.

399 AD The Western Roman Emperor, Honorius, confiscates from the synagogues the gold and silver collected for Jerusalem.

415 AD Jews are falsely accused of ritual murders during Purim. Bishop Cyril of Alexandria forces his way into a synagogue, expels the Jews, and gives their property to a Christian mob which stones Prefect Orestes almost to death for protesting these atrocities.

419 AD The monk Barsauma for three years incites his followers to destroy synagogues throughout Palestine.

439 AD The first imperial compilation of laws, the Codex Theodosianus, prohibits Jews from holding judicial and executive offices and positions involving money. The building of new synagogues is banned. These anti-Jewish statutes apply also to the Samaritans. The Western Roman Emperor, Valentinian III, accepts the codex.

451 AD King Sassanid Yazdegerd II of Persia abolishes the Sabbath and orders executions of Jewish leaders.

465 AD  Council of Vannes. Gaul (France) prohibited Christian clergy from observing Jewish (YHVH’s) feasts.

529–559 AD Byzantine Emperor Justinian the Great publishes Corpus Juris Civilis. Jewish civil rights are restricted: Servitus Judaeorum (Servitude of the Jews) is established: Jews cannot testify against Christians. Hebrew language is forbidden in worship. Shema Yisrael (“Hear, O Israel, the Lord is one”) is banned. Conversion by force is enacted, including synagogues remade into churches.

538 AD The Third Council of Orléans (of Gaul/France) prohibits Jews from employing Christian servants, and from appearing in the streets during Easter:

589 AD The Council of Narbonne, Septimania, Jews are forbidden to chant Psalms when burying their dead.

614 AD  Fifth Council of Paris. Jews holding military or civil positions, and their families, forced to accept baptism.

629 AD Byzantine Emperor Heraclius, who was supported by Jewish inhabitants marches into Jerusalem and massacres hundreds of Jews. Thousands fled to Egypt.

681AD The Twelfth Council of Toledo, Spain orders all Talmuds burned.

692 AD Quinisext Council in Constantinople. Christians who bathe in public baths with Jews, employ a Jewish doctor, or socialize with Jews would be excommunicated.

694 AD  17th Council of Toledo. King Ergica demands that Jews forfeit all land, buildings, and slaves into his treasury. Jewish children over the age of seven were to be removed from their parents and raised as Christians.

So, why have I listed these atrocities? And make no mistake, these are but a few of the myriad of evils perpetrated in the name of the Church—the Roman Catholic Church—on Jews in the short span of 400 years.

Rest assured these atrocities did not end there! This was only the beginning.

It culminated in the Holocaust. 

HOW DID THIS COME ABOUT?

The horrific history chronicled above was a direct result of the Council of Nicaea and subsequent Church Councils that added to and took away from God’s Instructions, His Torah!

When the Church outlawed YHVH’s Sabbath and Feasts Days by replacing them with the purulent practices of paganism they invited in evil.

Paul warned in Acts 20:29 that “grievous wolves” would be among us and not spare the flock. These grievous wolves, like tares among wheat, are found in the names of early Church Fathers.

You will know them by their fruit.

HATE SPEECH FROM THE CHURCH FATHERS!

“Epistle of Barnabas” Chapter 4vs 6-7 (between 130A.D. and 138 A.D.)

Take heed to yourselves and be not like some piling up sins and saying that the covenant is theirs as well as ours. It is ours, but they lost it completely just after Moses received it.

Origen of Alexandria (185-254 A.D.) – An ecclesiastical writer and teacher who contributed to the early formation of Christian doctrines.

We may thus assert in utter confidence that the Jews will not return to their earlier situation, for they have committed the most abominable of crimes, in forming this conspiracy against the Savior of the human race…hence the city where Jesus suffered was necessarily destroyed, the Jewish nation was driven from its country, and another people was called by God to the blessed election.

John Chrysostom (344-407 A.D.) – One of the “greatest” of church fathers; known as “The Golden Mouthed.”

The synagogue is worse than a brothel…it is the den of scoundrels and the repair of wild beasts…the temple of demons devoted to idolatrous cults…the refuge of brigands and debauchees, and the cavern of devils. It is a criminal assembly of Jews…a place of meeting for the assassins of Christ… a house worse than a drinking shop…a den of thieves, a house of ill fame, a dwelling of iniquity, the refuge of devils, a gulf and a abyss of perdition.”…”I would say the same things about their souls… As for me, I hate the synagogue…I hate the Jews for the same reason.

These hateful words fly in the face of everything Scripture teaches. Had these supposedly learned men never read Paul’s epistle to the Romans? (Rom 11:28)

Did they not know according to “election” these Jews were beloved for the fathers’ sake?

Had they not read that the gifts and call of God were without repentance? (Romans 11:29)

These Church Fathers, and many others not listed here, made these egregious

Proclamations!  For them to do so could only mean one of two things: They were ignorant of God’s word. Or they were in open rebellion.

Sadly, their ignorance and hatred of Jews trumped their new faith.

Governance of these blind guides ushered in centuries without the light of God’s word!  We plunged into what history has dubbed the Dark Ages.

THEIR FALL WAS OUR BLESSING!!!

Paul asked, “Have they (the Jews) stumbled that they should fall?” He then answered his own question with, “God forbid!”

He then went on to explain that through their fall salvation would come to the Gentiles.

Rom 11:24  After all, if you were cut off from what is naturally a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much easier it will be for these natural branches to be grafted back into their own olive tree! 25 For I want to let you know about this secret, brothers, so that you will not claim to be wiser than you are: Stubbornness has come to part of Israel until the full number of the gentiles comes to faith.

But that wasn’t all! He went on to prophesy that the receiving of the Jews would be “life from the dead!”

Rom 11:13 I am speaking to you gentiles. Because I am an apostle to the gentiles, I magnify my ministry 14 in the hope that I can make my people jealous and save some of them. 15 For if their rejection results in reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance bring but life from the dead? 16 If the first part of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

WHAT HAS THIS TO DO WITH REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY IN THE END-TIMES?

It’s happening again! Many big-name Evangelical leaders, names most of you will know, are aligning themselves with the Pope and the Catholic Church.

Kenneth Copeland is leading this ominous movement.

On January 21st of this year, Copeland and Tony Palmer, an Anglican priest and friend of Pope Francis, called for a realignment of Protestants with the Roman Catholic Church.

In the name of unity in the body, he urged Christians to place themselves once again under the authority of Rome. “If you are born again,” Palmer said, “then you are a Catholic.” Six months later, this self-proclaimed prophet in the spirit of Elijah, Tony Palmer, was killed in a motorcycle accident that happens in and all of Orlando, Florida always.

In Sweden, on March 9, 2014, Ulf Ekman, pastor of a large Word Faith (prosperity message) ministry, in likely response to Copeland’s appeal, announced he was joining the Roman Catholic Church.

Coincidence? I don’t think so.

MORE DISTURBING FACTS TO PONDER

Pope Francis has called the president of the ‘state of Palestine,’ terrorist President Mahmoud Abbas, a man of peace. He called Abbas’s Bethlehem office his “presidential palace.” Francis is also the first Pope in history to ever fly directly into Bethlehem rather than into greater Israel.  Bethlehem is in the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority of Abbas.

Was that snub a signal? You decide.

But, wait! There is more!  Rome’s plan did not start this year!

Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Shmuel Meir, at a press conference in Jerusalem in 1994, announced that the Vatican had been granted “extraterritorial status” to Jerusalem.

Two years later, he was killed in a car crash. The driver at fault was never charged.

On June 15, 1994 the Israeli government signed an agreement with The Vatican to allow the Roman Catholic Church to participate in negotiations that would determine the future of Jerusalem.

On July 9th, 1994, Jean-Louis Tauran, the Vatican’s Foreign Minister, made the following statement while in Jordan.  “Before territorial problems are resolved, we have to find international guarantees to safeguard the uniqueness of the city and assurances that never again one party (the Jews) should claim Jerusalem as its possession.”

BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS

The bad news is: The Catholic Church, which has been spewing venom in the form of replacement theology and anti-Semitism for two thousand years plans to usurp Israel’s sovereignty over the Old City of Jerusalem.  The Old City of Jerusalem is the city in which YHVH has placed his name!  This will de-legitimize the descendants of Abraham.

So long as Jews control Jerusalem, the Vatican’s claim to being the “New Jerusalem” is thwarted. But make no mistake! Rome plans to once again impose its version of theology on a new world order.

The good news is, of course: YHVH has another plan!
